This is my new business card. 

This is a classroom exercise. It was the Quarter Final for a digital illustration class. The only instructions were that Photoshop and FreeHand were both to be used to create a fake student ID. Instead of an actual photo, we were instructed to construct a representation of ourselves out of items relating to one of our interests. Happily, I got an "A" in that class :) 

This is the logo the High Rollers team actually went with (see rejected logo below). I think that this is a much better logo, as most everyone is familiar with the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign. 

This is an experimental logo for my nascent graphics interest. The attempt is to give a visceral impression of the difference between the two different types of graphics. 

This is a logo I created in association with a fellow member of my email response team at Washington Mutual. The co-designer came up with the idea for the circles and letters on the outside and I executed that part of the logo. I came up with the idea for the feather quill writing in stars and the moon to visually represent "Night Writers" and my teammate executed the graphics. There was an AM team and a PM team - one was called "Early Birds" and the other "Night Writers". A good example of practical teamwork. 

This is a series of related logos I made for an Everett, WA pizza restaurant. 

This is a fun project I did for a manager whose team was "Hawaii Eight-O". Obviously, it was taken from the 70's TV series "Hawaii Five-O". I made the logo, badge wallet, and notepad from scratch in Photoshop. I customized an existing badge image in photoshop. I took the photos for the team members myself. 

This is just a monogram I made for myself just for the fun of it. It's a fanciful "T" in embossed leather upon vellum or parchment. 

This is one of the first logos that I created. It was created for a customer service team to which I used to belong. The manager wanted a baseball theme and I think this delivered just that. 

This is the masthead for a Code of Conduct reminder pamphlet that I produced at the behest of the management of Washington Mutual customer service. The pamphlet was acted as a gentle reminder of various workplace behavior guidelines, dress code, etc. 

This is a logo I made for an Everett, Washington based classified listings Web site. The company went out of business before this logo could actually be implemented. Too bad, because it is a huge improvement over what they used before... 

This is a preliminary "proof of concept" logo for an email response team for Washington Mutual customer service. "Kana" is the program that is used to respond to customer email messages sent through wamu.com (WaMu's Web site). Ultimately, the team name was not used, so we did not go forward with developing this logo further. 

This is a preliminary logo for a team at Washington Mutual customer service. The manager of that team is from Las Vegas, so the team wanted to have a Vegas-like theme. The dice were created in Harvard 3-D and the rest was made using Adobe Photoshop. The dice were imported into Photoshop to complete the composition. This logo was not used, but I like the effect anyway. 

This is a logo for a help desk team at Washington Mutual. The denim is scanned from an old pair of jeans. I simulated "embroidery" for the lettering and Hell's Angles-style winged skull. This logo is in use now. 

This is a photo of a small waterfall that overlooks Crescent Lake on the Olympic Peninsula. I used a long exposure to create the popular "ghost water" effect. 

This is a photo of a country house just outside of Port Angeles, Washington (on the north side of the Olympic Penninsula). No special relevance; I just thought this was a nice picture. 

This is a mock Time Magazine cover featuring Washington Mutual CEO Kerry Killinger. The "brand" text relates to WaMu's mission statement. This image was applied to the front of white T-shirts that were given to each member of my customer service team. Mr. Killinger himself received one of these shirts and I am told he liked it very much. 

This is a photo of a bus bench in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. The background is a mosaic of little colored tiles 

This is a photo of the famous Bellagio Hotel taken from across the hotel's fountain. I was on a trip to Vegas at the time. 

This is a modification of the famous Abbey Road photo I did at the request of a co-worker. The co-worker wanted to give her son (who is a huge Beatles fan) something that would be a real surprise. I printed it tabloid size (11x17) and framed it in black aluminum. She says it's his most prized possession! 

The folder and "documents" were all made from scratch. I used an existing photo of Ryan and used a scanned image for the paper clip.
